Morphological Features of Species
The cells are spherical or broadly ellipsoidal in shape. The size of cells is around 9-15 µm. Cells have 2 apical contractile vacuoles. Chloroplasts are cup-shaped. Pyrenoid is medium, round-slightly ellipsoid in basal position. The cell has an elliptic eyespot in the anterior part. The number of zoospores is 2 or 4.
