Morphological Features of Species
Deuterostichococcus cells are usually unicellular. Filaments usually form with 2 cells and easy fragmenting into single cells. Cells cylindrical with 2-3 lenght/wide ratio. Chloroplast single, parietal. Cells with polar vacuoles.
